Phil Beer is the multi-instrumental half of the west countryʼs award winning acoustic duo, Show of Hands. With a professional career of over 36 years, playing in too many bands and line ups to list fully but the most notable sessions in his career range from the Rolling Stones’ album Steel Wheels and Mike Oldfield’s live album Exposed to albums by the Albion Band as well as the huge catalogue of Show of Hands.

How do you describe a Phil Beer Performance?
Fun, eccentric, informative with the constant sounds of jaws hitting the floor. Phil could coax a beautiful tune from a length of clothes-line.  Not only that but his gigs really do have something for everyone,  traditional tunes, covers of Springsteen or The Hollies, together with his own compositions and songs from his contemporaries.

All are songs and music of memory and significance sung in the subtle and melodic Phil Beer style and interjected with musings and amusings to an almost personal audience. It is a treat of past and current favourites from one of the most popular musicians on the acoustic circuit.
