About Event

When booking tickets for this, bear in mind it's likely there will be dancing in the aisle around the stage.  If you don't want your toes trodden on maybe pick a seat in the second row, or further back for a better view.   Meanwhile - dancers - pick a front row seat and you're right there!

Skerryvore

Skerryvore represent the best in contemporary Scottish traditional music. This brilliant band create a wonderful atmosphere for all ages and deliver a high energy set that excites and captivates the audience… a feel-good sound of folk rock with bagpipes, accordions and fiddle combined with kicking rhythms of guitar, bass and drums and keys.

Over the last 16 years, Skerryvore have performed all around the globe – from their early days in Scottish West Coast halls and bars, to festival crowds in Canada, the USA and Australia. The band perform musically expansive, high-energy sets that have twice earned them Scottish traditional music’s ‘Live Act of the Year’. Their six studio albums draw from a wide range of influences – a unique fusion of folk, trad, rock and Americana, with even some jazz in there!

In January 2021, Skerryvore’s song ‘You & I’ was put on the BBC Radio 2 playlist for six weeks.  Multiple daily plays – and a great response from the presenters – has seen Skerryvore reach a whole new fanbase.  Their brand new album Tempus, is currently No1 in the Scottish charts and top 40 in the UK Charts.

'A great bunch of guys and superb live – really infectious and hard not to get swept up in what they do'
Mark Radcliffe, BBC Radio 2

'Such a fresh, real, new sound… I love it'
Jeremy Vine
